For those following my Instagram you will know that I just spent an amazing two weeks eating my way though Italy with Nadja.
We did five cities in two weeks by train which I can highly recommend. The fast trains in Italy are great, so clean, super speedy and comfortable.
The second day was already a lot better weather, actually perfect for a road trip around the lake and visiting gardens.
The area around Lago di Como is scattered with majestic villas each nicer than the previous one.
Just when you think you’ve found your favourite one, the one you know, you’d want to move into, another stunning one appears.
If you are in Florence and love mozzarella, THIS is the place for you. It is a chain restaurant and they have opened in various other places now too, you can check their website for more information on locations.
As the name suggests, Obkià’s food is based around the Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP along with other typical Italian food. When I was there we ordered the mozzarella taster menu which allowed us to try three different handmade mozzarellas ranging from a delicate taste to naturally smokey. And boy were they good! We accompanied ours with a cutting board of I Salumi, pestos and fresh foccaccia. I could probably quite happily live off that combination, it was that good. Then again Italian food always is!
This is an image of our lunch plus desserts. In the bottle left hand corner is our aperitivo. It was such a nice place that we decided to go back for a drink before hopping on the train to go home.
