A few weeks back I had the pleasure of meeting Albana from Amazonian who sell organic and fair trade açai in Switzerland. I’d tried açai before in restaurants/cafés but never at home so I was delighted to give it a go myself.
It almost seems a bit silly to write a recipe on how to do it as it’s actually so simple and there are so many different combinations possible, and no right or wrong way.

And this is where quinoa porridge comes in.
These muffins are obviously not only reserved for breakfast but they are great in the morning, especially if you are in a rush.
And they can be frozen too ’cause eating 12 muffins in 3 days…can be a challenge.
Oh and did I mention they are healthy? Or at least healthier than normal muffins…

I thought so too at the beginning but it is surprisingly insanely good! Continue reading →
What I love about blogging is that after the holidays are over, while writing the post, I can relive them again.
(Especially considering that I am sitting in my garden in shorts and a t-shirt with the sun warming my back. Pure bliss.)
While I was in Toronto I met up with another friend from Dubai who I’d done a Eurotrip with in the summer of 2008.
Since then we’ve only seen each other once but it felt like no time had passed when we did see each other.
She came to The Beaches and we wandered around until we found a café to have brunch.
